Coatings
We can apply a subsequent coating to a large number of our products. Depending on customer requirements, the friction coefficient can be reduced, the service life extended or the appearance improved, for example. The new thermal coatings in particular, which form a permanent bond with the workpiece, enable us to respond flexibly to your surface technology requirements.
Even elastic products (e.g. polyurethane timing belts) can be protected against aggressive media in the long term with a Teflon-based coating.
In the area of toothed pulleys, hard coating is one of the best ways to extend the service life even under poor outdoor conditions. We can optimise mechanical remote controls (clevises, angle joints and threaded rods), which are mainly used in the area of aggressive liquids, with the WILLBRANDT coating 3409/Elast.
With DURBAL rod ends, we achieve significantly better protection against corrosion from chlorine or salt water solutions with a zinc-aluminium coating, which is more resistant than hot-dip galvanising.
