ContiTech ROTAFRIX® Friction rings – Designed for large drum drives. Our efficient and maintenance-free rubber gearboxes transmit power and speed quietly and smoothly.
ContiTech ROTAFRIX® friction wheels – Designed for small drum drives. Friction wheels feature a vulcanized steel core that allows for subsequent machining. Typically, the bore is made with a keyway according to DIN standards.

Product description:
The friction ring is an innovative product for simple power transmission. It enables the reliable transmission of forces and is versatile in use. Thanks to the rubber material, they offer optimum properties for roller gears and drum drives.
Metal body:
The metal body of the friction ring is manufactured according to your requirements and the friction ring is mounted on the metal body.
RM:
- Natural rubber base
- Hardness 73 Shore A (+/- 5°)
- Permissible ambient temperature -30 °C to +70 °C
- From +30 °C with reduced contact pressure
RS:
- Polychloroprene rubber base
- Hardness 83 Shore A (+/- 5°)
- Permissible ambient temperature -30 °C to +90 °C
- Largely resistant to many technical oils and greases
ContiTech ROTAFRIX® Friction wheels
Product description:
Our robust friction wheels consist of a tread layer and a metal body made of free-cutting steel 9 S 20 K with a centring hole in accordance with DIN 332.
On request, we can supply the friction wheels already machined to your requirements.
Characteristics:
- Polychloroprene rubber
- Hardness 80 Shore A (+/-5°)
- Permissible friction lining temperature -30 °C to +70 °C
ROTAFRIX® Guide pulley
Conveyor baskets and conveyor vessels are advantageously guided by ROTAFRIX® solid rubber guide rollers with or without downstream damping elements. They are mainly used for shaft conveyor systems in mining.
ROTAFRIX® guide rollers consist of a tread layer, a bottom layer and a reinforcement layer.
Running surface layer
The properties of the running surface layer are tailored to the special requirements. Accordingly, two abrasion-resistant versions can be supplied as required:
FM
- Natural rubber base
- Hardness 67 Shore A (+/-5°)
- Suitable for speeds up to 14 m/s (50 km/h)
- Strength carrier: steel wire laminate
FMH
- Natural rubber base
- Hardness 67 Shore A (+/-5°)
- Suitable for speeds up to 20 m/s (72 km/h)
- Strength member: steel ring
Conti Elastic Bandagen
Continental Elastic Bandages are ideal for demanding, high intensity applications where high levels of mileage, endurance and durability are required. They are extremely stable and ensure low rolling resistance thanks to the Continental Plus compound. The reduced heat build-up in the tyre leads to increased energy efficiency and reliable performance in the most demanding 24/7 industrial applications. The tyres are ideal for forklift trucks and other industrial vehicle applications used in production and manufacturing, warehousing, logistics and airport ground applications.

- Continental Elastic supports: MH20, MC20, ContiPT18 (also available as a clean version)
Conti Industrial tyres
They offer comfort on all surfaces and protect the driver and material during transport. These tyres score with excellent running properties, good traction and easy handling. Continental pneumatic and solid tyres are suitable for forklift trucks, airport vehicles and other heavy-duty transport applications.

Special wheels
If our ready range of Rotafrix or industrial tyres does not meet your requirements, we have the possibility to manufacture special wheels adapted to your needs.
If required, these can be heat-resistant, made of Vulkollan or another rubber compound or adapted to the specified geometry.
