Exhaust Elements

Exhaust systems must be connected to the ship’s structure. To significantly reduce the transmission of structure-borne noise and vibrations,
exhaust elements has to be used.

For optimum decoupling of exhaust pipes in the ship hull

WILLBRANDT exhaust elements have been specifically engineered to meet the vibration control requirements in ships. Our elements provide effective decoupling of the exhaust pipe systems from the ship’s structure, preventing vibrations from the ship.

Applications

  • Exhaust pipes for ships
  • For scrubbers

Benefits and strengths

  • Significant vibration reduction
  • Insulation against heat protection

Product overview

Load element TYPE L

Type L is used as a rigid fixed point for carrying heavy loads. This element is soft enough to ensure excellent vibration isolation.

Available standard types:

  • L 60 J
  • L 90 J
  • L 130 J
  • L160 J
  • L 220 L
Tensioning element TYPE S

Type S is designed to absorb compressive and tensile loads. Two separate clevises allow pipes to be guided for higher displacements when expanding in a vertical or horizontal direction.

Available standard types:

  • Type S 12
  • Type S 16
  • Type S 20
  • Type S24
Tensioning element TYPE AS

Type AS is designed to absorb compressive and tensile loads. In particular, angular designs are also possible. This allows pipes or systems to move with thermal expansion.

Available standard types:

  • AS 12
  • AS 16
  • AS 20
  • AS 24
Load element and Tensioning element TYPE VARIO 2000

The Vario 2000 element combines fixed point and tensioner in a robust weld-on design.
The tensioner version can also be rotated to tension the rod.

Available standard types:

  • Type G1
  • Type G2
  • Type G3
  • Type G4
