Vacuum Support Rings, Guide Tubes and Potential Equalisation
Our vacuum support rings/spirals, guide tubes and potential equalisation for expansion joints are available in various designs. They protect the expansion joint and the entire system from the effects of pressure, medium, flow velocity and current.
For vacuum operation
Vacuum supporting rings/spirals prevent the rubber expansion joints from contracting in the event of negative pressure, guide tubes protect the rubber bellows from abrasive media and very high flow velocities and potential equalisers ensure that voltages (potential differences) are eliminated or that the conductivity of the pipeline is not interrupted by an insulating expansion joint.

- Loose internal vacuum spiral made of stainless steel
- High corrugated expansion joint type 49 up to DN 500
- Flat corrugated expansion joint type 50/55 up to DN 300 and type 40 from DN 65 to DN 125
Vacuum supporting rings with baffle plate
DN 150 – DN 350
- With baffle plate made of stainless steel 1.4571, 1.4539 or special steels according to customer requirements
- Can be used from DN 150 to max. DN 350
Vacuum supporting ring with lock
DN 150 – DN 450 / from DN 500
- With lock in stainless steel 1.4571, 1.4539 or special steels according to customer requirements
- In use from 150/500 to DN 5000
Vulcanised vacuum supporting ring
Typ 40 DN 100 – DN 5000
- Used with type 40
- Can be used with hand-wound expansion joints
Vacuum support ring PTFE
Typ 50 / 55 DN 50 – DN 300
- For high chemical loads
- Can be used from nominal diameter DN 65 to DN 300
- For flat corrugated expansion joints of type 50 (up to DN 50 our flat corrugated expansion joints are vacuum-tight without support ring)
